Nowadays, parents and teachers should pay more attention to sexual education, because we live in a world where children and teenagers have access to all kind of materials, and they have become very emancipated. However, they never get properly informed, so more and more teenagers and young adults are getting STDs (Sexually Transmitted Disease). One of the most common STD is genital warts, or Condyloma, which is a very serious medical condition, as it is caused by HPV, a very dangerous virus. Genital warts is also highly contagious, which means that unless you use a condom, you will get it to if you have a sexual intercourse with an infected person.

Unfortunately, the worst thing is that there is no cure for genital warts. There are however several treatments for genital wart removal, which will ease the symptoms and make them go away for a while, but they do not guarantee that they will not reappear. One of the best genital wart removal options that you have, and also the least expensive one, is to purchase topical creams, which will be absorbed through the skin and the genital warts will thus disappear. Luckily, there are many such creams on the market, and your doctor will probably prescribe you the most suited one. Then, there are also other genital wart removal techniques, more advanced and trustworthy. For example, cryotheraphy is one of the most advanced genital wart removal option, because it will freeze the warts due to the liquid nitrogen that it uses.

Laser therapy or surgery is also a popular genital wart removal option, and it has great effects as long as it is performed by an experienced and qualified surgeon. Usually, people recur to laser surgery after the other genital wart removal options have failed, because it is more expensive. Then, we have Electrodesiccation, a modern genital wart removal technique which uses electric current to destroy the warts. Remember though that all these genital wart removal options will not cure the disease, and the best treatment is definitely prevention. Make sure that you get informed regarding this matter, and that you use proper protection measures, to avoid a possible infection with HPV.
